Things I Learned From Week #1

1. I need to figure out an easier way to edit and post my pictures. Flicker is great, but I am pretty sure I am doing everything the hard way.

2. I need to get my projects set early. I have so little time at night to work on them that I need to have everything ready to go by Monday or I am not going to get it done.

3. I need to figure out how to take better pictures. Photography class here I come. . . but I probably won't have time until the summer

4. I need to get my studio upstairs! I have absolutely no natural light downstairs. Unfortunately the move won't happen until the Princess P goes to college (in 2 1/2 years). Maybe I can figure something out in the mean time?

5. If I am going to keep taking pictures with my hands in them, I better start getting manicures! Blech, my nails look awful.

6. Stop being afraid of sending your blog to your friends. They are your friends, they will support you.

  1. I've tried telling my friends about my blog, but most of them have probably never been to it. I like to think of it as my alter ego! Great to meet you last night!

  2. Oh yeah-- the tracing stuff for the patterns is called Stretch and Sew and I also saw something called pattern tracing fabric on Joann's website. I write the pattern name and piece on it with a sharpie, and put all the markings on it and keep the patterns in ziplock bags for future use. Hope this helps!
